Check in is from 3pm, and check out is by 11am the following day

Early or late check-out isn’t always available. Please contact your chosen Hotel du Vin hotel directly in advance and they will be able to advise you.

DO YOU HAVE PARKING? IS IT FREE?

Every Hotel du Vin is different and parking may be limited where available. Please see your chosen hotel for directions and local parking information including charges, or contact the hotel directly.

CAN WE GET AN EXTRA BED OR COT IN OUR ROOM?

Extra beds can be booked in advance at an additional £30. Not all room types can accommodate extra beds, so please be aware that you may need to upgrade to a larger room. Cots are supplied free of charge. Any cots or extra beds must be booked in advance of arrival with our Reservations Team on 0330 016 0390.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T ARRIVE?

If you fail to arrive on the day of your booking, the full room price will be charged.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. A special mention to Antonia at reception she was great, very friendly, helpful, and made check-in smooth and stress-free. Her professionalism and warm attitude really stood out and added to the positive experience. I would happily stay here again and recommend this hotel to others.

Went for lunch on Sunday 21st Dec, we went as a walk-in, after a morning of Xmas shopping. The staff were really friendly and welcoming; and even more welcome was the superb roast beef dinner; my wife had Cod-that was equally delicious. My lunch was washed down with a cracking Bordeaux Premiere. The Hotel du Vin is a really great building (former red brick Victorian Eye hospital) so is really characterful; and located in the Colmore Business district of the city centre; so architecturally and aesthetically, one of nicer parts of ‘town’. The bistro is beautifully decorated without being overly grand and pretentious, so a really nice relaxed atmosphere. Thank you to the waitress who allowed us to take extra Xmas crackers for our kids! Merry Xmas!

A great location and probably looks fab without the scaffolding. Room was smallish, bed comfy. Free drink voucher due to scaffolding, beer, wine and service in the bar was great. Breakfast spoiled by boiled egg gate! Hotel was nice but not a premium experience, staff generally friendly and fab and comfortable nights sleep.

Went for Sunday lunch. After plating up our starters we were told - no roast beef. Very disappointed as this was what we were going to order. Waited over 30 mins for certain starters to be replaced. Waited 40 minutes for our very average turkey dinner. Everyone else seemed to have their meals whilst we waited and waited. When I told the server we were going to leave - our meals were instantly served. Warm water. Nice wine. Starters were nice but they need to make sure everything is replenished. Didn’t charge us for the wine but we skipped the desert as we were ready for bed!!! Felt we’d been there hours!!! Oh yes we had. I don’t think I’d return or recommend.

I’m a regular at the restaurant and think very highly of it. The food and service are consistently excellent, which is why I chose to stay at the hotel over New Year’s. Unfortunately, the room itself was extremely disappointing. It was visibly dirty and poorly maintained, which is completely unacceptable at this level. Cleanliness is a basic expectation and on this occasion it fell well below standard. To make matters worse, there was scaffolding directly outside the room and significant noise, which wasn’t communicated in advance and made it difficult to relax or sleep. This only added to the frustration and further detracted from what should have been an enjoyable stay. It’s a real shame given how highly I rate the restaurant and the brand overall. I would happily continue dining here, but based on this experience, I would seriously reconsider staying overnight again. I’ll be adding photos to this review, as they clearly show the condition of the room.
