⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful experience at Hyatt Lunch! Tefayal made my husband’s 40th birthday extra special by surprising us with a celebration platter—such a thoughtful and memorable touch. The service was warm and attentive, and the food was delicious with great vegetarian options too. A perfect place to celebrate. We’ll definitely be back!

The breakfast staff could not do more for me - the concern over my dietary restrictions was palpable, from the chef having a quiet word and thanking me for the advance notice, to the manager and waiting staff being wholly attentive. I’m in Birmingham on business but with all the attention and care, I feel as if I am on holiday. They take #hospitality to a whole new level.

Hyatt Rengency Hotel Birmingham is a very nice and cozy hotel with great facilities. It offers halal food, and prayer mats are available upon request, which I really appreciated. The leisure facilities are lovely, with a heated swimming pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, and spa. However, my stay was let down by the fact that the room did not have a smart TV as mentioned on the website, which caused a lot of wasted time considering that I planned to stay in most of the times. The hotel eventually upgraded us (to a similar room just a few floors higher) after several contact made to reception and a long wait, but I’m grateful to Kenza for her assistance. On checkout, Nandini was very kind and offered support for my next visit as a gesture for the inconvenience. There's also an issue with parking, which operates on a first come first serve basis. So if you park your car on day 1 and say you're staying for 3 days, you have to pay for the parking for 3 days ahead which is £27 for 24hr. During these days if you happen to take your car out and come back with no free parking space, you lose your money. Your slot is not reserved. It would be better if they charge us for parking when we are leaving the car park rather than making us pay in advance. Overall, a comfortable hotel with excellent amenities, but clearer information on room facilities would have made the stay much smoother. I would have come better prepared.

The hotel presents well from the outside, and the main atrium is genuinely impressive. The staff are attentive, polite, and a real credit to the place. However, the parking situation is a major drawback. The hotel car park is operated by a third‑party company using ANPR cameras to monitor all vehicle movements. I was only informed of this at check‑in, when I was told I needed to use the payment machine outside and had just 20 minutes from arrival to do so. I paid for two days of parking and assumed everything was sorted. Later, when I returned to my car to collect my luggage, I discovered that the access route from the service yard to the main car park was blocked by a temporary wire fence. I decided to move my car to the front of the hotel, but a good Samaritan warned me that doing so would trigger the ANPR camera, register my car as having exited, and cancel my existing parking session. The system would then treat me as a new arrival, meaning I’d have to pay again. He explained that the car park operates as a single entry/exit point, regardless of how long you’ve already paid for. None of this was mentioned by reception, nor was it clearly signposted anywhere. After checking the machine again, I eventually found the information buried deep within a tiny “terms” section, hidden among hundreds of lines of text. It feels like a setup designed to catch people out. Had I moved my car, or simply used it to visit friends during my stay, I would almost certainly have received a penalty charge notice despite having already paid for parking. The rooms are a bit tired and the bathroom is very old in design and the water pressure is terrible. I was also woken in the middle of the by the sound of pump spinning loudly and appeared to be coming from with the ceiling somewhere.

17 of January, I stayed in a king sized room with club access. Unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations and i was very disappointed. At 5:30, i entered the lounge they didn’t have the drinks that i wanted (grey goose) instead they wanted to offer me a cheap vodka or want me to go downstairs to the bar. Also for breakfast, I had to go downstairs. I came across an individual from the middle east, he got a chip on his shoulder and lacks customer service skills. If you want my advice just pay for the room only and you’ll thank me later. The overall stay in was good and I stayed in 2201, however the duvet needs to be changed as I can tell it was dirty.
