Ibis Birmingham New Street Station Hotel

I had the pleasure of staying at Ibis Birmingham New Street and I must say, it was an overall fantastic experience. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the incredible service provided by the team. Catarina, the receptionist and bar server, is an absolute gem! Her warmth, professionalism, and friendly demeanor made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. She's truly an asset to the team and went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed during my stay. A special shoutout also goes to the night team, who were equally wonderful. They were always approachable, helpful, and ensured that my late-night requests were handled with care and efficiency. It’s rare to encounter such a dedicated and kind team, and they truly made my visit memorable. As for the rooms, while they may be a bit dated, they were clean, comfortable, and offered everything I needed for a pleasant stay. Honestly, the superb service more than made up for any minor aesthetic updates that could be made. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Birmingham. Great service, lovely staff, and a central location – I’ll definitely be returning!

I am part of a sizeable group who are staying here for an extended period of time, across multiple rooms. The rooms are small but comfortable, the bathrooms in our rooms and in the lobby are nice and clean, the shower pressure is strong, and you can have a nice hot shower if you'd like to. Breakfast is included with your stay, and there is a nice arrangement of choices, with the additional option of requesting your eggs prepared to your liking. Ingrid is absolutely lovely and made any and every request or enquiry feel so easy. Her demeanour is so friendly and genuine, that it really makes you feel right at home, even halfway across the globe.

I stayed here as a bonus break and had a really enjoyable experience. From the moment I arrived, everything was comfortable and well organised. The rooms were very clean and had everything I needed, which made the stay even more relaxing. A special thank you to Ed, the Front Office Team Leader, for his professionalism and support. I would also like to mention Ingrid, who kindly kept an eye on me during breakfast and made sure everything was alright. Her care and attention were truly appreciated. I am really enjoying my stay and will be checking out tomorrow. I would happily come back again, even if I had to pay for the stay myself. Highly recommended.

This property is located in the heart of downtown with walking distance to attractions and major places like main train station, City Centre, Bull Ring Mall, Council Hall, City Library, Historical Church, Grocery store, fine dining restaurants and Pubs. The property itself is located right in China town, a spot full of life. The staff starting from the receptionists to the housekeepers to the restaurant and bar attendants are extremely professional, polite and respectful. I would specially mention RAJU a restaurant waiter and girls on the reception who would go out of the way to help in the matters that may not be related to their specific business. I observed the Manager ED working very hard almost around the clock helping guests and his teammates. I found him a great leader who leads by example. Such team players are hard to find which makes me understand the reason for the success of this business. I have stayed at many IBIS branded hotels around the globe and would say without hesitation that I found this IBIS property the best in the world. It’s not easy to run businesses so successfully. It only speaks of higher training standards of employees and the best practices enforced by the management. I would strongly recommend this property to travellers. Great peace of mind knowing that most significant places to visit were just at a walking distance. Birmingham International Airport is only 10-14 minutes by train with trains leaving every 4 minutes minimum and 10 minutes maximum. I stayed 5 nights here and would like to thank the entire hotel staff’s hospitality, care and respect I received. Even the security staff in the late hours whose job is to simply provide security went out of his way to help me in non hotel related issues. The staff has a great knowledge about the city and can steer you in the right direction for any questions you may have. Ironically , it’s not an expensive hotel and staying there is really worth the money. Thank you IBIS Birmingham, New Street. I am very impressed with your overall operations.

The lobby and the location of the hotel are the best things about this hotel. Unfortunately the room I stayed is was lackluster, with thin walls and a gap under a bathroom door that I could fit my hand through. There was also the beginning of mould forming in the bath room (they should have a look at that seriously). The staff were friendly in the few times I interacted with them no major issues there. The location is the best thing about the hotel situated about 5 minutes from the train station and city center making it easy to access. Over all a fine hotel if not a bit over priced in my opinion but I suppose due to the location it makes sense
