The hotel is lovely. Conveniently located. The rooms are clean and airy. Disappointed that the only thing available was pizza out of hours, however they allowed to order in. The staff was brilliant, very friendly and hospitable, especially the young man behind the bar making the pizzas. Apologies did not get the name. Overall a great experience. Will definitely use again.

Our first time here and a bit of a mixed bag. Opera, the digitalised booking system for hotels, was down across the whole of Birmingham...and the check-in queue was meandering through the vast lobby/entrance area. Quite the scene on arrival. The check-in team did what they could to the best of their ability, and they did well! The rooms are not expensive and for the price very nice, clean and comfortable. We stayed on the 15th floor and the views in the morning were stunning. I wouldn't include breakfast again, it really wasn't that nice. The atmosphere wasnt great and the cooked breakfast items underwhelming, preparation and quality-wise. The music played during breakfast was truly grinding and way too loud, which didn't help. All in all however, a very good hotel for the price point in a central location - would stay here again.

Very clean hotel. Good facilities. Great breakfast. Only downside was the lack of lifts! Only one seemed to be working properly at anyone time. Otherwise I would have given 5*.

It's average, the rooms are presentable and executive rooms large and spacious for a family. View from the 16th floor was nice, and we didn't experience any of the lift issues and it was 3 days before Christmas, lifts were fast, reliable. And they've closed one for refurbishment so they've obviously listened to the feedback. The rooms are quiet we didn't hear anyone. They're well controlled by the AC and the bathroom was spotless. Where it was actually let down was the breakfast which was probably the worst we've ever had. It's self service, but all the buffet is mostly cold and frozen produce. Scrambled eggs were revolting, I'm miffed at the fact people actually went back for seconds. Yoghurts were warm, and no decaf coffee machines. The juices aren't fresh, all of which I understand for cost saving but, I'd happily have paid more for an a la carte menu. The staff were hit and miss some were very polite others seemed like they wanted to check out themselves, although Christmas will do that to you... Parking also was not an issue plenty of spaces and it's clear where you need to go and how to pay. I think people are being unfair on the price, it's a long stay car park and in the centre. Overall it's ok, I wouldn't rush to come back but for a pit stop it's fine.

This is not worth its alleged 4 star rating, it’s barely 3. Rooms are tired with numerous questionable stains, bathrooms are better with outrageously high shower pressure which floods the floor & room. Lifts are terrible with only one operating at any one time, get on at the wrong point & you’ll be in the lift for 10 mins stopping at each floor all the way up before repeating all the way down. No AC, anywhere, only heating making rooms & event rooms unbearable. Restaurant is terrible, breakfast is revolting & lunch genuinely embarrassing. Staff are mostly indifferent, unsympathetic, unhelpful & difficult to communicate with. Duty managers are better but difficult to get to. Event management are worse. Everyday we were woken significantly earlier than we would normally be by cleaning staff loudly talking on their phones in the corridors. Some had their phones wedged in their headdress, others just on loud speaker. No pleasantries when exiting, not even a “good morning” in reply. Parking does seem expensive but it maxes out at one price, so you’re not charged repeat 24 hour fees, at least we weren’t anyway.
