Great stay! I don’t give 5 stars only because the rooms are a bit old fashioned, but the staff is a great value added! Senait and an Italian receptionist (I don’t remember her name) were extremely helpful and they helped me solving some booking issues I had. I booked an executive room and it was spacious and clean. Location is perfect. And also perfect quality/price ratio.

Aging hotel that needs a lot of attention but in an amazing location for a competitive price We went for an exec room as we had read the reviews about the issues with the standard rooms. Our room was reasonably spacious for central London and had a good sized and well equipped bathroom. Like much of the hotel it is clearly aging and need some more care taken for example about the curtains not attached to the curtain rail and the noisy air con. It was a real nasty surprise to be asked for £1 charge per bag for storage after check out. An unnecessary and trivial annoyance when any customer has already paid for their accommodation etc

Stayed 3 nts from 16th Jan 2026 and found contrary to some reviews that all the staff were friendly and helpful with the concierge getting a 10 out of 10, what a lovely, cheerful, helpful man, who ever it was on duty this weekend should get a large pay rise he's an asset to the hotel. The location is in a perfect spot with easy access to everything we wanted to go to. The room not so good, clean and small but shower tray overflowing and no tea tray which I understand is the new owners policy. The communal areas definitely need a new decoration and carpets as its looking tatty in places, also the outside needs a really good clean and spruce up as the hotel is it is quite off putting. Would stay again so, Criterion put your money into it, look after your staff and you will appeal to many more customers.

We went with my friend and stayed for 6 nights. The hotel’s location is amazing, close to everything and right in the city center. Because we booked early, it wasn’t too expensive for us. We stayed in a Signature Twin Room with two separate beds. The room was nice, and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was nice. The room was too small for us, and we had trouble opening our suitcases. When we first arrived, it was very clean. They also tidied up the room every day, emptied the trash, and restocked the toilet paper. However, we noticed that the bed sheets and towels were not changed every day. Luckily, we had brought our own pillowcases and towels. Also, as far as we could tell, the floors weren’t vacuumed or mopped. The windows only open a little, so we couldn’t really ventilate the room. On our last day, it was very helpful that we could leave our luggage at the hotel, and the staff were kind. Still, for a hotel that we only used for sleeping, it was enough.

The hotel is very well located in the center of London. Unfortunately, the rooms feel quite outdated. There was no power outlet in the bathroom, there was, however, a build in USB charger available in the room. The elevators were a disaster: extremely slow and very poorly managed, resulting in long waiting times, especially during busy moments. The staff came across as unfriendly and rather authoritarian. This is a major point of improvement, as it significantly affected the overall experience. The walls seem extremely thin. It honestly felt like they were made of cardboard. You could hear almost everything from the neighboring rooms. Breakfast was good and well organized, with the only downside being the coffee, which was below expectations. Overall, the location and breakfast are strong points, but the condition of the rooms, noise levels, elevator situation, and especially the attitude of the staff leave a lot of room for improvement.
