This is a beautiful hotel, very conveniently located for accessing most of central London. The room was spacious and the bed was huge and extremely comfortable, with big, soft pillows. The curtains were heavy enough to block out the light so the room was dark and quiet. The bathroom was also large, and offered soap, shampoo and shower gel. There was a hairdryer, tea/coffee and water available. The only item that might have been nice to have was a dressing gown. The hotel has a lovely cafe on the ground floor which is where breakfast is served, and an excellent seafood restaurant on the top floor, with amazing views over London, and delicious food. Well worth a visit!

I just got back from my first solo trip to London and stayed at The Hoxton, Southwark for 4 nights — and honestly, it couldn’t have been a better experience. The team made me feel incredibly welcome from the moment I arrived. They even upgraded my room and left a sweet surprise and a birthday greeting, which truly made my day. The room was stylish, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing after exploring the city. I slept so well every night. Every interaction I had with the staff was warm and genuine, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel felt both cozy and modern. I would absolutely recommend The Hoxton, Southwark to anyone visiting London. And I can’t wait to return to this gem in London! =)

Great stay at The Hoxton Southwark overall. The location is convenient for museums and sightseeing, yet much quieter than areas like Piccadilly Circus. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet. Service was excellent—staff was quick to help, and Asher, one of the managers, was especially kind and attentive. Albie, the ground-floor restaurant, had an amazing Field of Greens juice that I truly miss. However, I did see a mouse in the restaurant. While I understand this can happen in older cities like London, it was still unsettling and disappointing. No gym on-site, but with all the walking we did, it wasn’t a dealbreaker. Tip for people over 5'2" that use a hair dryer - there isn't an outlet in the bathroom. You have to use an outlet in the room and most of them are close to the ground (only one was located a little higher up, but it wasn't by a mirror). The hair dryer they supply has a coiled cord, so drying your hair in front of a mirror is extremely challenging for anyone taller. Overall, a good stay with strong positives, and I hope the restaurant issue is addressed.

I booked a room at this hotel to celebrate my dear wife’s birthday and give her a wonderful night. My plan was for us to enjoy some quality time together at the bar. However, as we were sipping our first drinks, we spotted a small mouse scurrying near the bar area. While most people might have screamed, my wife is very calm and didn't panic, but we were both completely stunned. After all, we were staying at a luxury hotel charging £400–£500 a night, and there were mice running around—right on the same floor as their restaurants. We called the waiter over and quietly informed him about the mouse behind the bar. Naturally, we were disgusted; we couldn't finish our drinks and asked for the bill. The manager brought the check and had the nerve to charge us, nonchalantly claiming that there are many mice in the area and that this was 'normal.' We went up to our room feeling shocked and repulsed, and barely slept through the night. They completely ruined my wife’s birthday and didn't even offer a proper apology or explanation. I will never set foot in this hotel again. I’m just glad we didn’t eat dinner there.

RATS/MICE IN DINING AREA, STAFF ARROGANT, DO NOT STAY HERE! Our recent stay at this hotel was a complete disaster, a stark contrast to a previous wonderful visit. We were horrified to discover a rat/mouse scurrying around the bar area, not once, but twice. The initial manager we reported it to dismissed our concerns with a "no way" and did nothing. A second staff member confirmed no action was taken. We even captured video footage before spotting another rodent directly behind us. To make matters worse, our room had weak water pressure and the taps didn't get hot enough for a shower. When we complained, the hotel's response was equally disgusting. They tried to palm off responsibility to the Food & Beverage team, despite the hotel being their building, and offered a pathetic 20% off a future stay and a voucher instead of the full refund we requested. All of our attempts of trying to resolve this in a civil way was met with arrogance and a complete lack of accountability while also attempting to take more money from us. Their failure to address our complaint directly and resolve the issue as requested is unacceptable. This level of disregard for guest experience and safety is truly shameful.
