The staff was amazing! Also, the luggage storage was top tier and super helpful. They kept our bags before and after our stay so that we could enjoy London. This is also on a main tube line so you wont have to take many Ubers. It was a great location with Regent Street being less than 5 minutes walking distance and Bond Street was 10 minutes away. We also walked to Buckingham Palace which was 20 minutes away. The surrounding area was bustling but the hotel is actually quiet and super clean. We had three adults in our room with plenty of space. I plan to stay here for years to come.

The hotel has a very nice location - close to Leicester Square and Picadilly Circus. The breakfast has nice quality and a decent variety. The room we had was VERY spacious, the beds were among the most comfortable beds we had, the view. The wifi strength and stability were also very decent on our room. The staff are also very nice and room service was impecable. Our only issue with the hotel was the fact that they had two elevators but only one was working during our stay and the capacity was very limited. I travelled with my family and we had to carry our luggage upstairs in several trips, and we could not all use it at once. There was also some repairs being done outside the hotrl that made it difficult to access. The reason I did not rate my experience 3/5 was because the rooms were really comfortable and the staff was so polite and helpful. If you are travelling with a wheelchair or a baby stroller bear in mind there is a flight of 3-4 steps in the hotel entrance. From there you won’t have any more accessibility issues.

We recently stayed in the heart of Piccadilly for our first trip to the UK, and overall, it was a great experience, especially because of the unbeatable location. It’s just steps from multiple Tube stations, right by Chinatown, and surrounded by lively restaurants, shops, and bars. The area feels safe at all hours with so many people around. The room itself was clean and a good size for a couple. One downside was the bathroom—specifically the shower, which felt a bit cramped. The water pressure was low, and the water temperature wasn’t as hot as we’re used to, but we’re not sure if that’s typical for London or just this property. We were initially worried about noise since our room was next to the elevator, but thankfully, they have a door they close at night to block the sound, and it was much quieter than expected. However, on the day we checked in, there was an incident that made us a bit uncomfortable. While we were getting ready, a maintenance person unexpectedly opened our door. Luckily, we had the secondary lock on, which stopped him from fully entering. He mentioned he was working on something, but it was still a little worrying to have someone try to come in without any prior notice. One other small hiccup—on the second day, our room wasn’t cleaned when we returned. We called the front desk, and housekeeping came right away to clean the bathroom and provide fresh towels, which we appreciated. Would we stay again? Yes—definitely for the location. It’s hard to beat being right in the heart of everything in London. While there were a couple of bumps along the way, the convenience of the location and the overall comfort of the stay made it worthwhile.

The hotel is very handy for the tube station. Our room was quiet. Shower was lovely. Breakfast plentiful and staff were very helpful Downside for us. The flush on the toilet was next to useless. The fire alarm went off at 7 am. My daughter was crying. Thinking the hotel was on fire. I was hoping to give her a lie in after a long day the previous day, to make the most of the next. Which is why I booked an over night stay. Evidently from the kitchen. This to be fair had a massive knock on effect for us.

Very disappointed. Booked a room for a Saturday night to go to the theatre. The bed was comfortable but the room carpet looked tired and dirty. The furniture too was in need of repair. What really was disappointing was that the room came with all the makings for coffee or tea but without the most basic ingredient, water. Apparently a management decision was to no longer supply water for drinks. I cannot think of any hotel I’ve been in where the most basic of commodities is lacking. Adding to insult was that the heating in December was set to aircon which left the room cold. The readout was small and not easy to decipher and there were no instructions to help. All in all, this was the first and likely to be the last time I would stay at a Thistle hotel. This is advertised as a 4 star hotel but has a 2 star ethos. A shame really as it is ideally suited to theatre land .
