Thistle Piccadilly Hotel

At the beginning it's a small reception, nothing to be impressed. But during the stay you appreciate the position, the cleanliness, the polite staff and the sound isolation. But above all they're not ''cheap ''. Whatever you ask they provide it in more. Thanks a lot for the stay. Great value.

Don't let the tiny Reception fool you: this hotel punches above its weight. We stayed for fifteen nights in midsummer. Incredible location on Leicester Square and within a short walk to Piccadilly Circus and Regent Street plus not far from Trafalgar Square. A taxi rank is on the opposite corner. Food stores, pubs and restaurants, including McDonald's, are nearby and so are many West End theatres (and the official ticket office). Rooms are reasonably sized, quiet, well-appointed and efficiently served with comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. Lifts (elevators) come quickly and work well. Breakfast is simple but more than satisfactory. Staff-members are friendly, helpful and eager to please. Laundry service was a little expensive but was quick and effective. Highly recommended.

We recently stayed in the heart of Piccadilly for our first trip to the UK, and overall, it was a great experience, especially because of the unbeatable location. It’s just steps from multiple Tube stations, right by Chinatown, and surrounded by lively restaurants, shops, and bars. The area feels safe at all hours with so many people around. The room itself was clean and a good size for a couple. One downside was the bathroom—specifically the shower, which felt a bit cramped. The water pressure was low, and the water temperature wasn’t as hot as we’re used to, but we’re not sure if that’s typical for London or just this property. We were initially worried about noise since our room was next to the elevator, but thankfully, they have a door they close at night to block the sound, and it was much quieter than expected. However, on the day we checked in, there was an incident that made us a bit uncomfortable. While we were getting ready, a maintenance person unexpectedly opened our door. Luckily, we had the secondary lock on, which stopped him from fully entering. He mentioned he was working on something, but it was still a little worrying to have someone try to come in without any prior notice. One other small hiccup—on the second day, our room wasn’t cleaned when we returned. We called the front desk, and housekeeping came right away to clean the bathroom and provide fresh towels, which we appreciated. Would we stay again? Yes—definitely for the location. It’s hard to beat being right in the heart of everything in London. While there were a couple of bumps along the way, the convenience of the location and the overall comfort of the stay made it worthwhile.

I am only giving this hotel a 4 because the pictures of the Junior suite are a little different and the room we had was not anything like the spacious room on the website. Staff are friendly rooms were clean. 2 bad point was 2 lifts only one working only two people could use the lift at anytime or it would show overloaded sign and stop working

Really nice hotel with comfortable rooms and an incredible location pretty much in front of m&ms. I stayed here for 3 nights and had great sleep, along with kind staff and service. Check-in and check-out was seamless. Rooms were clean as well as silent despite it being in front of a generally crowded area. Only thing someone might have to worry about is that accessibility isn’t too high, because to enter the hotel you need to go up some steps twice.
